Dennis To returns as the iconic Wing Chun grandmaster in the new film 'Ip Man: Kung Fu Legacy', expanding the successful martial arts franchise. All Rights Entertainment has commenced presales at the Cannes Film Market.
Production Timeline
The film's production is set to begin in October, with an international release planned for 2027. Dennis To continues his portrayal of Ip Man, famously known as Bruce Lee's mentor, in this highly anticipated installment.
Franchise Evolution
The original 'Ip Man' franchise, led by Donnie Yen, has become a cornerstone of 21st-century martial arts cinema. Dennis To's spinoffs have carved out their niche by focusing on a younger, more traditional Ip Man. To first took on the role in 'The Legend Is Born: Ip Man', followed by 'Ip Man: The Awakening' and 'Ip Man: Kung Fu Master'.
All Rights Entertainment's Role
All Rights Entertainment, with offices in Paris, Hong Kong, and Los Angeles, will handle international distribution once more. The company, which managed global sales for previous films, is committed to broadening the 'Ip Man' universe.
"All Rights Entertainment is proud to continue expanding the ‘Ip Man’ universe for worldwide audiences," said Aymeric Contat Desfontaines, CEO of All Rights Entertainment. "The franchise continues to resonate globally, and we are excited to launch this new chapter in Cannes together with our partners."
The new film follows 'Ip Man: Kung Fu Legend', which has already secured extensive sales ahead of its North American release on July 14, through Well Go USA.
