L'Oréal Paris is aiming for €10 billion in revenue, according to global brand president Laetitia Toupet, who plans to achieve this with a clear strategy and powerful innovations.
Leadership and Strategic Goals
Toupet, with 25 years at L'Oréal Group, has a track record for achieving brand milestones, having led La Roche-Posay past €1 billion. In 2023, L'Oréal Paris revenues exceeded €7 billion. The brand, part of the world's largest beauty conglomerate, benefits from its scale in innovation, marketing, and distribution.
Market Challenges and Growth
The brand faces competition from indie brands in the US, emerging Chinese brands, and the rise of Korean skincare. In 2025, L'Oréal Paris saw mid-single-digit growth, driven by haircare and makeup, but this was a slowdown from 9% growth in 2024. Toupet, who joined in July 2025, aims to strengthen L'Oréal Paris's role as a beauty leader, focusing on skincare and expanding into men's beauty.
Cultural Engagement and Cannes
L'Oréal Paris is deeply embedded in cultural events, with partnerships in the entertainment industry and a prominent presence at the Cannes Film Festival. The festival provides visibility comparable to major sporting events, with L'Oréal Paris ambassadors featured prominently.
“The Cannes Film Festival has an audience with as much impact and visibility as major sporting events like the Super Bowl or the Olympics,” says Toupet. The 2025 festival offered significant reach, with 20 billion social media impressions and a €325 million ad value.
Skincare and Innovation
In skincare, L'Oréal Paris leverages its strong R&D capabilities. Recent innovations include the Glass Skin range, which helped the brand regain growth in China in 2026 after a challenging year. Toupet emphasizes using science to deliver visible beauty improvements.
Expanding Men’s Beauty Segment
L'Oréal Paris is growing its men's segment, appointing F1 drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz as brand ambassadors. The brand's strategy includes unisex products and a dedicated Men Expert line. A new Men Expert skincare product, featuring Leclerc, launches in mid-June.
“We’re accelerating in the men’s segment, either through unisex products like the haircare ranges we have under Elvive, or through our dedicated line called Men Expert,” Toupet says.
