Félicia Atkinson has unveiled a new single, "Les Yeux II," from her forthcoming album 'Sans Visage', which reimagines the score for Georges Franju’s cult horror film Les Yeux Sans Visage.
New Album Details
Atkinson, a fan of Franju's work, initially composed the score for the Belgian cultural center Viernulvier’s Videodroom series. Now, 'Sans Visage' is set to be released as a 34-minute album on June 26, capturing a segment of her original 90-minute composition.
Artistic Intentions
Discussing her motivations, Atkinson said, “Through the music, I decided to bring back [the characters’] empowerment despite what they endure,” referencing the film's plot involving a surgeon's obsession with facial reconstruction.
Dedication and Influences
The album is dedicated to French rape survivor Gisèle Pelicot, whose trial coincided with Atkinson's creative process. Atkinson stated, “I kept thinking of her strength and her decision to share her trial in order to reverse the shame.”

In addition to her solo work, Atkinson recently collaborated with Christina Vantzou on Reflections Vol. 3: Water Poems. The 'Sans Visage' tracklist includes:
