Bloc Party is set to release their new album, Anatomy of a Brief Romance, produced by Trevor Horn as a follow-up to their 2022 LP, Alpha Games. The album is led by the single “Coming on Strong.”
Personal Inspiration
Kele Okereke, the band's frontman, penned the album in the aftermath of a long-term relationship that lasted over a decade. “Every lyric you’re hearing on this record was something that actually happened to me,” Okereke stated in press materials. “I had to tell the story, from start to finish.”
New Label Partnership
Anatomy of a Brief Romance marks the first release under Contagious Ltd., a new imprint from Virgin Music Group. Since their last album, Bloc Party has been engaging with fans through performances celebrating the 20th anniversary of their acclaimed album, Silent Alarm.
