Secret Cinema is teaming up with Disney Theatrical Group and TodayTix to launch a new immersive experience based on 'Pirates of the Caribbean' in the U.K., set for February 2027 in London.
Immersive Experience Debut
Dubbed 'Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: The Immersive Adventure', the event will have an initial 10-week run and promises to bring 'Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl' to life. The experience is described as an 'all hands on deck' event, featuring interactive sets, live performances, music, and stunts.
What to Expect
Artistic Director of Secret Cinema and TodayTix co-founder, Merritt Baer, highlighted the event’s dynamic elements, stating, 'Get ready for high jinks on the high seas! With epic aerial stunts, fearless swordfights, and a cast of your favourite swashbuckling pirates, where better to invite audiences than raucous Tortuga and aboard the Black Pearl for the ultimate cinematic adventure.'
Location and Ticket Sales
The adventure will be set at Secret Cinema's new flagship venue at Greenwich Peninsula in London, close to the O2. Tickets will be available for purchase starting June 1, 2026.
Collaboration with Disney
Angelo Desimini, senior VP for licensed partnerships at Disney Theatrical Group, emphasized the innovative storytelling approach, noting, 'At Disney Theatrical Group, we are exploring bold new ways to expand our storytelling beyond the proscenium and into immersive, shared experiences. ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ is a franchise powered by adventure, music, and iconic characters, making it a world that naturally invites audiences to step inside it.'
Desimini praised Secret Cinema's craftsmanship and narrative ambition, stating, 'Together, we are reimagining how fans engage with this beloved property, not as spectators but as participants in a live experience that is communal, cinematic, and unmistakably Disney.'
