The popular Netflix series The Lincoln Lawyer will conclude with its fifth season, the streamer announced on Wednesday. Production is underway in Los Angeles following Netflix's renewal of the series shortly before the premiere of its fourth season in February.
Endgame for Netflix's Legal Drama
The Lincoln Lawyer joins another Netflix series, The Night Agent, in announcing its final season this month. The Night Agent will wrap up after four seasons. For The Lincoln Lawyer, the final season will introduce new characters, expand its storyline, and bring the journey of attorney Mickey Haller, played by Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, to a close.
New Faces in the Final Season
The last chapter of The Lincoln Lawyer adds several new cast members: Amy Aquino, Angela Trimbur, Elpidia Carillo, Nate Corddry, Tricia Helfer, and Keir O'Donnell. They join guest stars Chris Diamantopoulos, Corbin Bernsen, Diane Guerrero, Iker Garcia, Patty Guggenheim, Richard Cabral, Steve Howey, and Teresa Maria. Returning actors include Neve Campbell, Krista Warner, Angelica Maria, and Gigi Zumbado.
Based on Michael Connelly's novels, the final season will adapt Resurrection Walk, the seventh book in the series. It will introduce Mickey to Emi, his half-sister, played by Cobie Smulders, who seeks his help to exonerate a wrongfully convicted woman.
Showrunners' Vision and Series Success
Co-showrunners Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez expressed their gratitude in a statement: "All good things must come to an end, but thankfully sometimes how they come to an end is up to us. From the very beginning, the mission was always not only to tell the story of Mickey Haller and his compatriots, but also to give that story a proper conclusion." They promised a satisfying finale for fans.
The show's fourth season spent four weeks in Netflix's global top 10 for English-language series, amassing 26.4 million views. In the U.S., it was among Nielsen's top 10 original streaming series for five weeks, peaking with 2.54 billion minutes of watch time in mid-February.

The Lincoln Lawyer is produced by A+E Studios. David E. Kelley created the series for television, with Humphrey developing it and co-running it with Rodriguez. Both serve as executive producers alongside Michael Connelly, Ross Fineman, Matthew J. Lieberman, Barry Jossen, and Tana Jamieson.
Other notable stars in the series include Becki Newton, Angus Sampson, and Jazz Raycole.
