Speaking on Jake Shane's show, Therapuss, Stewart discussed the break-ins that have also troubled stars like Brad Pitt, Lionel Richie, Goldie Hawn, Kurt Russell, Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban, and others. Stewart recounted, "Bought it in France, brought it home, stolen out of my house two days later," referencing a rare Hermes Birkin purse.
Theft While Family Was Away
During a family camping trip, Stewart received a distressing call from security. "We had security [and he had fallen asleep] in front of the house," Stewart shared. Burglars smashed through her office door and ransacked her husband’s watch collection. "This is happening a lot in the area, unfortunately, it’s happening all the time," she said, noting the prevalence of such crimes.
Emotional and Material Loss
Describing her feelings, Stewart said, "I was just furious. I was angry. I’m pissed. It’s a violation." She later watched footage of thieves climbing over her gate, each carrying six bags. "You are so disrespectful," she remarked, highlighting the damage to a newly acquired Box Kelly bag.
Security Measures Intensified
A second burglary saw intruders caught on her hillside by security, a situation where all her jewelry was initially stolen but later recovered. Stewart now describes her home as being guarded like "Fort Knox."
