Millicent Simmonds, known for her roles in ‘A Quiet Place’ and ‘Pretty Lethal,’ will co-write and star in the crime thriller ‘Grace,’ the first project from Inevitable Studios, a subsidiary of the Inevitable Foundation.

Inevitable Studios' Unique Vision

Inevitable Studios, launched by Inevitable Foundation co-founders Richie Siegel and Marisa Torelli-Pedevska, aims to produce film and television content with a unique focus on disability perspectives. Their approach promises to bring stories that are “unique, unexpected and subversive” to the forefront.

Story of 'Grace'

The crime thriller ‘Grace’ is crafted by writer-director duo Ari Costa and Eren Celeboglu. While specific plot details remain under wraps, it follows a deaf teenager who uncovers the violent and hidden secrets of her family’s past. Over the past three years, Costa, Celeboglu, and Simmonds have collaborated to ensure an authentic portrayal of a young deaf girl's experiences, intertwined with themes of love, violence, and forgiveness.

Upcoming Production Plans

The film, an independent feature, is in the process of finalizing its cast and is scheduled to commence shooting early in 2027.

Simmonds' Career Highlights

Millicent Simmonds debuted in Todd Haynes' ‘Wonderstruck’ in 2017 alongside Julianne Moore. She rose to fame with her role as Regan in the ‘Quiet Place’ series, where she portrays a deaf girl surviving in a world invaded by aliens with acute hearing. Simmonds is filming the fourth installment, ‘A Quiet Place Part III,’ set for a 2027 release. Her recent work includes the film ‘Pretty Lethal,’ which premiered at SXSW in 2026, and she has also appeared on Broadway in ‘Grey House.’ She is represented by Untitled Entertainment.

Creators Costa and Celeboglu

Ari Costa and Eren Celeboglu met on the set of ‘Community’ in 2011, forming a successful creative partnership. They produced the acclaimed short films ‘The Bride’ and ‘The Internet Kills,’ which led to their first feature film, ‘All Fun & Games,’ produced by the Russo Brothers’ AGBO. Celeboglu's career includes work on ‘Scrubs’ and ‘Cougar Town,’ while Costa has been associated with the Russos on major projects like the ‘Avengers’ films and the ‘Extraction’ series.
