Golden Goose, in collaboration with Playlab Inc., unveiled the interactive installation 'The Forest For The Trees' at Haus in Venice, coinciding with the city's 61st Biennale. The installation promises an imaginative journey through a fairy-tale inspired environment.
Creative Collaboration in Venice
Playlab Inc., known for projects such as Virgil Abloh's Louis Vuitton designs and Post Malone's videos, created the installation with no strict guidelines, according to Golden Goose CEO Silvio Campara. 'The priority is to always deliver a message of freedom and creativity,' Campara stated, highlighting the brand's longstanding connection with Abloh.
A Storybook Experience
The installation invites visitors to engage with a fantastical representation of nature, encouraging them to paint and plant their own trees in a projected forest. 'We wanted an almost Hollywood-like immersive backdrop,' said Playlab's Archie Lee Coates IV, emphasizing the optimistic vision shared with colleagues Jeff Franklin and Ana Cecilia Thompson Motta.
Whimsical Dinner Party
The launch event featured a dinner set within the installation, surrounded by painted trees and woodland-themed decor. Guests dined on a menu including wild herbs, smoked potatoes, mushroom risotto, and edible foliage, underscoring the theme of natural wonder.
Notable Guests and Conversations
The guest list included artists like Lola Schnabel, Youssef Nabil, and Sean Koons; actor Arjun Kapoor; architect Tessa Sakhi; skateboarders Keegan Palmer and Cory Juneau; filmmaker Sinbad Guggenheim; and pianist Alberto Bof. Conversations revolved around art, with Schnabel discussing her recent move to Sicily and Nabil preparing for a solo show at Paris's Musee d'Orsay.
