Hemdale Film Corporation has secured the North American distribution rights for Sinatra! Eternity, featuring the late Michael Madsen, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
Star-Studded Cast
The film, an indie drama, stars Michael Madsen as journalist Harry Cohn, who interviews an aging Frank Sinatra, portrayed by Rico Simonini. The cast also includes Eric Roberts, Lukas Haas, and Harry Dean Stanton. Directed by Giorgos Papatheodorou and Michael Oblowitz, the project aims to provide a deep dive into Sinatra's storied life and career.
Release Plans
Hemdale, recently revived as a releasing arm under Hannover House, finalized the acquisition on the first day of the Cannes Film Festival. The film's theatrical release is scheduled for October across major markets in the U.S. and Canada, with a streaming debut planned for December. Greece’s Crisis Cinema is handling representation, and the film will be showcased at the Cannes Market next week.

Eric Parkinson, CEO of Hemdale Films and Hannover House, expressed confidence in the film's appeal, stating, “Sinatra! Eternity presents an insightful look at one of the world’s best-known celebrities. We believe the film has theatrical potential and wide appeal as a streaming release.”

Frank Sinatra, renowned as one of the 20th century's defining performers, achieved fame during the swing era and won multiple Grammy Awards with hits like “My Way” and “I’ve Got You Under My Skin.” His acting career was equally illustrious, earning him an Oscar for From Here to Eternity and acclaim for roles in films such as The Manchurian Candidate. Sinatra passed away in 1998 at the age of 82.
