Lai Yi Ohlsen, Cloudflare's senior product manager, predicts that non-human traffic will surpass human traffic by mid-2027. At Google's I/O conference, the tech giant announced expanded AI capabilities, enabling users to delegate tasks to AI systems. Enterprises are increasingly deploying AI internally and externally, generating new types of machine traffic. AWS's OpenSearch Serverless is a response, decoupling compute from storage to manage these unpredictable traffic patterns.
