Maddie Brewer, the creative force behind Adult Swim's "CHIPS," has signed with Verve for representation, according to an exclusive report from Variety. She remains represented by Fourth Wall Management.
CHIPS and Festival Recognition
Brewer is the creator, writer, and animator of "CHIPS," an action-comedy series that premiered in October 2025 on Adult Swim. The show, which centers on Chip, a Venice Beach girl known for her extreme violence, is set to compete at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in June.
Past Work and Current Projects
In addition to "CHIPS," Brewer created the short film "BurgerWorld," which is set inside a sentient fast food empire. This film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2025.
Currently, Brewer works as a storyboard artist and writer on "Regular Show: The Lost Tapes," a revival of the original "Regular Show," which debuted on Cartoon Network on May 11. She is also developing an original concept for a streaming service, with further details forthcoming.

Brewer has an extensive background in directing animated shorts and music videos, with past clients including Adult Swim, Bento Box, and Epitaph Records. Her collaborations have spanned notable studios and brands like Vice, Nickelodeon, Augenblick, Blink Ink, Grin Machine, Psyop, and Chop Studio.
Verve's Expanding Animation Roster
Brewer's addition marks another significant signing for Verve, which continues to grow its animation business. The agency represents clients across major animation studios such as Warner Bros. Animation, Walt Disney Animation Studios, DreamWorks Animation, Sony Pictures Animation, Nickelodeon Animation Studio, Illumination, Skydance Animation, Paramount Animation, and Laika. Verve's clients have been nominated for best animated feature at nine of the past ten Academy Awards.
