Netflix is expanding its collaboration with author Harlan Coben by ordering a new series based on his Myron Bolitar novels, with David E. Kelley set to write and executive produce alongside Coben.

David E. Kelley Takes the Helm

The Myron Bolitar series, comprising 12 novels, will be brought to the screen for the first time, with acclaimed creator David E. Kelley, known for ‘Big Little Lies’ and ‘Ally McBeal’, leading the project. Kelley will write and serve as executive producer with Coben.

Longstanding Partnership with Coben

Netflix first partnered with Coben in 2017, securing access to 14 of the author's books. In 2022, this deal was extended to include 12 more titles, one of which is the Myron Bolitar series. The adaptation has been in development since then.

Myron Bolitar's Story

The Myron Bolitar novels revolve around a fictional New Jersey-based sports agent, with the series kicking off with the 1995 thriller ‘Deal Breaker’. The latest book, ‘Think Twice’, was released in 2024. The specific storyline for the Netflix adaptation has not yet been revealed.

Coben's Extensive Netflix Presence

Coben is no stranger to Netflix, with several of his adaptations already on the platform, including ‘Fool Me Once’, ‘Stay Close’, and ‘The Stranger’, among others. Beyond the Bolitar series, Coben has a prolific writing career, with titles like ‘Tell No One’, ‘Run Away’, and his recent collaboration with Reese Witherspoon, ‘Gone Before Goodbye’.
