Luxury brands are setting up pop-up stores across Europe this summer to attract high-spending tourists. With temporary seasonal stores and exclusive activations, brands like Dior, Burberry, and Loewe are positioning themselves in prime destinations.
Italy Takes Center Stage
In Capri, Dior is making waves with a boutique featuring a traditional 'gozzo' boat outside the Il Riccio beach club. Meanwhile, Staud celebrates a collaboration with Da Adolfo on the Amalfi Coast, offering a unique beach experience in Positano.
Venice welcomes swimwear brand Lido, which opened its store in May to coincide with the Biennale, and Dior offers a branded motorboat experience at Hotel Cipriani. In Portofino, PatBo launches a pop-up at Modes boutique, while Armani takes over Forte dei Marmi’s Bagni Roberto beach club.
French Riviera Hotspots
Cannes sees Alo debut a new store alongside a 72-meter yacht, hosting Pilates and wellness activities. Armani also sets up a pop-up at the Armani/Caffè Cannes. In Saint-Tropez, Alo opens a store and hosts yoga classes at Hôtel La Ponche, while Loewe introduces a seasonal store and pop-up featuring its latest collections.
Burberry partners with Hôtel Belles Rives in Antibes, offering branded waterskiing and Burberry ice lollies. The collaboration runs through September.
Expanding Beyond Europe
Dior's international reach extends with its Dioriviera pop-ups in Seoul, Bangkok, Shanghai, and Hainan Island. The brand's strategic approach aims to capture luxury shoppers worldwide.
New Entrants and Favorites
Prada returns to Formentera with a pop-up focusing on women's ready-to-wear, while Dior customizes the pool area at D Maris Bay hotel in Turkey with branded furniture and inflatables.
With European travel at a high, brands are strategically placing pop-ups to attract tourists. According to the European Travel Commission, 82% of Europeans plan to travel this summer, emphasizing intra-European destinations.
