L7, the influential '90s garage-rock band from Los Angeles, has announced the first leg of their farewell world tour, titled 'The Last Hurrah Tour.' The tour will cover multiple cities across the United States and Canada this fall, marking the end of their reunion era that began in 2014.
Farewell Tour Details
The tour kicks off on June 4 in Toronto, Ontario, at the RBC Amphitheatre and concludes on November 14 in Los Angeles, California, at The Wiltern. Among the notable stops are the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado, on June 17, and the Vogue Theatre in Vancouver, British Columbia, on November 11. Amyl and the Sniffers will join them on select dates.
Reflections from Donita Sparks
Donita Sparks, the band's singer-guitarist, expressed gratitude for their extended run, writing, "When L7 decided to release a documentary in 2015, we thought maybe we would take one last victory lap around the sun by playing some shows. Instead, that lap turned into eleven more years of touring, sweat, new music, and reconnecting with the fans who made this all possible in the first place." She continued, "Looking out into the crowd seeing longtime supporters rocking out next to a new generation of L7 fans has been the most powerful and humbling part of this chapter. We are deeply grateful and ready to give our audiences one last, loud, fun, and hopefully unforgettable night of rock & roll."
A Legacy of Music and Film
L7 reunited in 2014 and went on to release 'Scatter the Rats' in 2019, their first new album in 20 years. They also premiered the documentary 'L7: Pretend We’re Dead,' directed by Sarah Price, in 2016.
