Kith's Pre-Fall 2026 menswear collection, marking the brand's 15th anniversary, emphasizes lightness in response to summer's challenging conditions, according to Alex Chirgadze, VP of Merchandising.
Design Challenges in Summer
Chirgadze highlighted the season's difficulty, stating, "What do you actually wear during the summertime, whether you're traveling in the city or you're traveling abroad? What do you wear during the daytime? What do you wear at night, both the city and also on vacation?"
To address these issues, Kith focused on their popular items like the Alonzo jacket and Webster pant, enhancing them with airy fabrics and textures. A twisted weave lends a tweed-like look to bomber jackets, and a pleated viscose adds texture to matching sets. Fabrics like puckered seersuckers and viscose-rayon blends are pre-washed or over-dyed for breathability and a relaxed fit.
Mediterranean Inspirations
Inspired by Mediterranean vacations and stripes, the collection features matching sets, blouson-cut jackets, tailored outerwear, and casual button-ups. Sparing use of patchwork and embroidery adds novelty without overwhelming the designs.
Subtle Logo Integration
Kith's logo is subtly integrated into the collection, appearing as a tonal chest patch or small embroidery on Oxford shirts. This reflects a shift as Kith's customers mature beyond streetwear, offering options for men transitioning from logo tees and hoodies.
Chirgadze explained that the collection aims to provide a wardrobe that evolves with the customer's lifestyle, suggesting a refined direction for those moving on from traditional streetwear aesthetics.
The collection's emphasis on sophisticated fabrics and understated logos marks a notable evolution in Kith's design approach, offering pieces that cater to a more discerning clientele.
