Documentary Filmmaker Award

The award honors a documentary filmmaker with a feature in the 2026 official Cannes Film Festival selection. Alongside recognition, the winner receives a cash prize from the Artemis Rising Foundation. The prize aims to celebrate nonfiction films through a series of panels and events at the Plage des Palmes, scheduled for May 18.

Scully, founder and CEO of Artemis Rising Foundation; actor Kelvin Harrison Jr.; Helen Hoehne, president of the Golden Globes; Geralyn White Dreyfous, producer and co-founder of Impact Partners; and Danielle Turkov Wilson, CEO and founder of Think-Film Impact Production. Mariam Fakhroo, a senior executive at the Doha Film Institute, will serve as the jury observer.

Celebrating Nonfiction Films
