From Spider-Man to The Boroughs

Molina stars as Sam Cooper, a retired engineer who discovers supernatural phenomena in a senior community. 'The Boroughs' features an ensemble cast including Geena Davis, Bill Pullman, and Alfre Woodard. Created by Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews, with Matt and Ross Duffer as executive producers, the show blends mystery with a touch of horror.

The series follows Cooper as he investigates sinister happenings alongside his neighbors. By the finale, they uncover the community owners' plot to achieve immortality by draining residents' life forces. Molina notes, "Sam is at the center of achieving all of this."

Molina praises the camaraderie with his co-stars, noting many had worked together before. "It was like a reunion," he says, appreciating the supportive atmosphere. Filming challenging sequences, including singing Bruce Springsteen’s 'Thunder Road', Molina embraced the character's modest vocal range.

Despite the resolution of 'The Boroughs', lingering mysteries suggest potential for a second season. "I would love to carry this on," Molina expresses, highlighting the creators' ambition for three seasons. On other projects, he reflects on his Marvel role, stating, "If they came knocking...I would do it again."

Molina continues to engage audiences, from voicing an octopus in 'Remarkably Bright Creatures' to possibly reviving iconic roles. His enduring presence in film and television showcases a career filled with diverse and challenging projects.
