Aero Films Debuts with Steve Pink's 'Terrestrial'

Aero Films, a new film distribution company founded by former Warner Bros. executive Ryan Pallas, kicks off its operations with the release of Steve Pink's 'Terrestrial'.

Company Vision and First Release

Pallas aims to establish Aero Films as a platform for bold and unique films. "Our goal with Aero Films is to curate bold, distinctive films from filmmakers with unique perspectives and to connect them with audiences through innovative marketing and distribution," Pallas stated. He expressed excitement about launching with 'Terrestrial', a film he describes as an "incredible mashup of comedy, suspense, and science fiction."

Cast and Creative Team

'Terrestrial' features a cast including Jermaine Fowler, James Morosini, Pauline Chalamet, Edy Modica, Rob Yang, and Brendan Hunt. Directed by Steve Pink, known for his work on 'Grosse Pointe Blank' and 'Hot Tub Time Machine', the screenplay is penned by Samuel Johnson and Connor Diedrich. The film's plot revolves around a reunion weekend for college friends that spirals into chaos, grounded by the host's struggle with reality amidst otherworldly threats.

Production and Distribution Strategy

The film, produced by Josh Jason and Molly Gilula at Hurley/Pickle Productions, alongside Molly Conners at Phiphen and others, is set for theatrical release. Pink commented on the film's themes of friendship and paranoia, adding, "We made a movie about friendship, paranoia, ambition, and the very unhealthy human instinct to invite your friends into your home and then slowly lose your mind in front of them."

Aero's Commitment to Theatrical Releases

The partnership with Aero Films aligns with the producers' vision of experiencing 'Terrestrial' in theaters. "We always knew 'Terrestrial' was a film meant to be experienced together, in the theater, with your friends," the producers expressed. Aero Films' mission includes championing unique voices and fostering innovative connections between films and audiences. The distribution deal was negotiated by Range Select.
