The Rolling Stones return to their youthful 1970s appearance in the music video for 'In the Stars', utilizing AI de-aging technology from Trey Parker and Matt Stone's company, Deep Voodoo.

AI Transformations

The video directed by François Rousselet features actress Odessa A’zion, and includes scenes where a digitally de-aged Mick Jagger interacts with the crowd, including a moment where A’zion licks Jagger’s face.

Odessa A’zion's Dream

“Are you kidding me? It’s my dream,” A’zion said, reflecting on her excitement about appearing in the video. “The first record that I ever got that I listened to from start to finish was Tattoo You.”

Deep Voodoo's Tech Prowess

The AI company Deep Voodoo, previously known for its work on Kendrick Lamar’s 'The Heart Part 5' and Billy Joel’s 'Turn the Lights Back On', employed body doubles and deepfake artists to recreate the younger versions of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ronnie Wood.

“Our goal is to make beautiful, cinematic film and television that never pulls the viewer out,” said Deep Voodoo executive Jennifer Howell.

Music Video Launch

The 'In the Stars' video is part of the Stones' promotion for their upcoming 25th album, Foreign Tongues, set for release on July 10. The album also includes the track 'Rough and Twisted'.
