Pink Parrot Media, a Montreal and Madrid-based family entertainment sales company, has already secured early deals for its animated features “Tistou” and “Winner” ahead of the Cannes Film Festival.

Early Sales for 'Tistou'

The company finalized initial territory agreements for “Tistou,” a CG animated feature based on Maurice Druon’s French children’s classic “Tistou les Pouces Verts.” The film has been sold to Front Row for the Middle East, Filmarti for Turkey, Pro Films for Bulgaria, and MCF for the former Yugoslavia territories. “Tistou” is produced by France’s Finalement and co-produced with Belgium’s Walking The Dog.

'Winner' Gains Ground

Pink Parrot also secured a Middle East distribution deal with Front Row for “Winner,” a 3D animated comedy-adventure produced by Paratha Entertainment in collaboration with the Rafa Nadal Foundation. “Winner” tells the story of a 12-year-old girl overcoming obstacles to become one of the greatest tennis players in history. Developed with writer-director Jaime Maestro and Paratha CEO Bartolomé Blaya, the film’s script and visuals are being showcased at Cannes.

Team Expansion with Aurélien Piris

In line with the sales deals, Pink Parrot has expanded its team by appointing Aurélien Piris as senior sales manager. Piris joins from All Rights Entertainment, where he worked for 12 years in international distribution, sales, and financing, focusing on animation and theatrical releases. He will handle international sales of animated features and contribute to acquisitions, reporting to Tania Pinto Da Cunha, Pink Parrot partner and vice president.

Piris will focus on territories including Benelux, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Turkey, CIS, Ukraine, and key Asian markets like Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, and Vietnam. His experience includes managing the international rollout of animated films like “Ne Zha 2.”

“Aurélien brings a wealth of experience, real enthusiasm, and a sharp eye for standout storytelling, making him a fantastic addition to our team as we strengthen our global footprint,” said Pinto Da Cunha and Marie-Claude Beauchamp, president at Pink Parrot Media. Piris added that Pink Parrot has a strong reputation for championing high-quality family entertainment and ambitious animated projects.

Upcoming Projects

At Cannes, Pink Parrot will also present exclusive material from two 3D CG animated features produced by Canada’s CarpeDiem Film & TV: “Unstable,” co-produced with U.K.-based Cantilever Productions, and “The Bottanix,” both scheduled for 2027 delivery. The company’s slate includes the Danish 3D CG feature “Emma & Thomas” and “MoMonsters: The Movie.”
