The stage adaptation of Paranormal Activity will make its Broadway debut on September 15, 2026, running for a limited 20-week engagement at the August Wilson Theatre.
Broadway Bound
With previews beginning on August 14, Paranormal Activity – A New Story Live on Broadway, brings a fresh narrative inspired by the horror film series. The Olivier-nominated play has already captivated audiences in London’s West End, Chicago, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., and San Francisco.
Creative Team
Written by Levi Holloway and directed by Felix Barrett, the play involves an original storyline, distinct from the movie series. The creative team includes Fly Davis (scenic and costume design), Chris Fisher (illusions design), Anna Watson (lighting design), Gareth Fry (sound design), and Luke Halls (video and projections design).
Production and Producers
Jason Blum, CEO of Blumhouse and original producer of the film series, joins the Broadway production team. Produced in collaboration with Paramount Pictures and Solana Films, the play is a Melting Pot production. The producing team features Simon Friend, Hanna Osmolska, Ken Davenport, and others, with Seaview as executive producer.
Franchise Background
The Paranormal Activity franchise began with a 2007 film that grossed $194.2 million on a $15,000 budget. The series, including seven films, has earned over $900 million globally. An eighth film is set for release on May 21, 2027, with James Wan producing and Ian Tuason directing.
