Netflix has officially announced that its legal drama series, The Lincoln Lawyer, will conclude with its fifth season. This final chapter of the series will focus on adapting Michael Connelly's novel Resurrection Walk into a 10-episode arc.
Series Creators Express Gratitude
Series creator and co-showrunner Ted Humphrey, along with co-showrunner Dailyn Rodriguez, expressed their gratitude in a joint statement. "All good things must come to an end, but thankfully sometimes how they come to an end is up to us," they said. "From the very beginning, the mission was always not only to tell the story of Mickey Haller and his compatriots, but also to give that story a proper conclusion."
They also thanked Netflix and A+E Studios for the opportunity to conclude the series appropriately. "But most of all, we are grateful to the fans all around the world for watching and supporting the show. We promise you, we are right now building a final season that will provide the satisfying finale Mickey Haller deserves," they added.
New Faces Join the Cast
As the series approaches its final season, Netflix has announced several new recurring guest stars. Amy Aquino will join the cast as Judge Olivia Alcott, Angela Trimbur will play Felicia, Elpidia Carillo will portray Muriel Perez, Nate Corddry will appear as Jimmy Finch, Tricia Helfer will play Brooke Miller, and Keir O'Donnell will take on the role of DDA Lucas Peralta.
Returning recurring guest stars include Neve Campbell, Krista Warner, Angelica Maria, and Gigi Zumbado. Previously announced new guest stars also comprise Chris Diamantopoulos, Corbin Bernsen, Diane Guerrero, Iker Garcia, Patty Guggenheim, Richard Cabral, Steve Howey, and Teresa Maria.
Plot Details for the Final Season
The official logline for Season 5 reveals significant developments in Mickey Haller's (played by Manuel Garcia Rulfo) life. "Mickey Haller's world is upended when the half-sister he never knew existed, Emi (Cobie Smulders), comes to him with a plea to help free a wrongfully convicted woman," it states.
As the season progresses, Mickey takes on a challenging habeas petition to overturn a six-year-old murder conviction, uncovering deeper conspiracies. His team, including Lorna (Becki Newton), Izzy (Jazz Raycole), and Cisco (Angus Sampson), faces their own high-profile challenges. Having recently saved himself from a wrongful conviction, Mickey is now determined to correct a significant miscarriage of justice while dealing with his fractured family legacy.

The series was brought to television by David E. Kelley, who serves as executive producer. Ted Humphrey developed the show, serving as executive producer and co-showrunner alongside Rodriguez. Other executive producers include Michael Connelly, Ross Fineman, Barry Jossen, Tana Jamieson, and Matthew J. Lieberman. The production is managed by A+E Studios.
