Kate Mansi will exit her role as Kristina Corinthos Davis on 'General Hospital' after a three-year run, with her final episodes scheduled to air in June.
Departure Announcement
The news broke via Soap Opera Network and was confirmed by Stephanie Sloane, a well-known soap journalist, who provided comments from both Mansi and 'General Hospital' executive producer Frank Valentini.
Mansi's Tenure and Achievements
Mansi joined the cast in 2023, taking over from Lexie Answorth. Prior to this, she was known for her nine-year stint on NBC's 'Days of Our Lives', where she played Abigail Deveraux. Her portrayal of Kristina Corinthos Davis earned her a Daytime Emmy nomination last year. Additionally, she directed two episodes during her tenure.
Statements from Mansi and Valentini
Mansi stated her departure was a personal choice, saying, "It has been such a meaningful and unforgettable ride. I've loved being a fiery Corinthos-Davis girl in such a phenomenal family." Valentini added, "We love Kate and support her decision to leave," hinting at the possibility of her return in the future.
Other Career Highlights
Beyond 'General Hospital', Mansi has starred in the Amazon/Freevee drama series 'Casa Grande' and its subsequent film adaptation on Prime Video. In 2019, she headlined the NBC miniseries 'Days of Our Lives: Chad and Abby in Paris' and appeared in the 2020 indie film 'Legend of the Muse'.
