Country music star Lainey Wilson and former NFL quarterback Devlin “Duck” Hodges tied the knot at Ruskin Cave in Tennessee, after a four-year romance that began with a blind date in 2021.

Proposal at George Jones's Estate

Duck proposed to Lainey in February 2025 at the Franklin, Tennessee estate of country legend George Jones, complete with rose petals and personal photos. “We love George Jones, and he knew it would mean a lot to me to do it right there on George’s front porch,” Lainey shared.

Choosing Ruskin Cave

The couple discovered their wedding venue, Ruskin Cave, while driving through Tennessee. “Duck said, ‘You wanna get married there?’ I said, ‘Done deal,’” Lainey recalled. They appreciated the cave’s natural beauty and simplicity.

Wedding Day Details

Lainey, known for her signature denim bell bottoms, wore a custom Oscar de la Renta gown featuring cherry blossoms, symbolizing living in the moment. Duck sported a bespoke suit by D. Lacquaniti and accessories by Mud Lowery, styled by Raina Gir. The ceremony took place on May 10, with Lainey arriving in a horse-drawn carriage to the sound of a waterfall and birdsong.

Wes Williams, a close friend, officiated the wedding, which included a communion ceremony. Lainey expressed her excitement about the day, noting Duck’s radiant smile. “It made me feel giddy about turning the page into this next chapter of marriage,” she said.

Reception with Cajun Flair

The reception featured Louisiana influences, including a jazz band, Rebirth Brass Band, and Cajun cuisine from Bell Bottoms Up. Following the ceremony, the newlyweds led a second line march to cocktail hour, with the reception held inside the cave. “My mama led the dinner prayer for all of our guests,” Lainey noted, and the night was filled with dancing and celebration.

The couple concluded the evening with a sparkler send-off, driving away in an old white Ford truck. Lainey reflected, “Our family and friends know how to have a good time, and the dance floor was packed all night.”
