Eartheater, the musical project of Alexandra Drewchin, is set to release a new album titled Heavenly Body: If I’m the Bottle You’re the Message on July 14 through Chemical X. The announcement is accompanied by the release of a new single, “Paradise Rains.” The album features collaborations with notable artists including TV on the Radio’s Dave Sitek and Oklou.
Collaborations and Themes
The album includes a track titled “Fast Asleep,” featuring Oklou, and a closing piece “Nova,” co-produced with Nosaj Thing and Michael Andrews. The latter is named after Drewchin’s newborn daughter, marking a personal touch on this record.
“Paradise Rains,” Drewchin explains, reflects on reacquiring her childhood farm after 20 years of estrangement. She describes the song as a narrative of memories and new beginnings, inspired by her return to the farm where she conceived her daughter.
