Inclusion in 'B'Day' Reissue
The song is slated for inclusion on the 20th anniversary edition of Beyoncé's sophomore album, B'Day. This release marks the start of a 60-day countdown leading to the reissue's release and Beyoncé's birthday on September 4.
Originally released on her 25th birthday, B'Day debuted on September 4, 2006. It was her second album to reach No. 1, selling over 541,000 copies in its first week, featuring hits such as 'Irreplaceable' and 'Ring the Alarm'.
Lyric Video and Fan Appreciation
Accompanying the single's release is a black-and-white lyric video featuring archival footage directed by Cliff Watts, who previously worked on Beyoncé's 2007 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover. Parkwood Entertainment, Beyoncé's management company, describes 'Morning Dew' as a 'special gift to her fans' and a direct nod to her loyal BeyHive.
Grammy Success and Future Projects
'Morning Dew' follows Beyoncé's 2024 release of her Cowboy Carter country album, which secured her first Grammy for Album of the Year. Prior to this, she was the most-nominated female artist without a win in that category, despite being the most-awarded artist in Grammy history.
Fans have been eagerly anticipating new music and updates about a potential Act III album, which is rumored to complete the trilogy that began with Renaissance and continued with Cowboy Carter.
