Devo and the B-52’s have expanded their Cosmic De-Evolution Tour, adding eight new dates after seemingly concluding the tour in London and Manchester. The additional performances will take place in cities including Seattle, Vancouver, and Grand Rapids.
New Tour Dates Announced
The newly announced dates will feature the bands performing at arenas and amphitheaters, with DJ Cummerbund as the opening act. The extended itinerary includes:
- 09-17 Tinley Park, IL - Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre
- 09-19 Grand Rapids, MI - Acrisure Amphitheater
- 09-20 Shakopee, MN - Mystic Lake Amphitheater
- 09-24 Ridgefield, WA - Cascades Amphitheater
- 09-25 Seattle, WA - Climate Pledge Arena
- 09-27 Vancouver, British Columbia - Rogers Arena
- 10-30 Chula Vista, CA - North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre
- 10-31 Palm Desert, CA - Acrisure Arena
Continuing the Farewell Journey
This extension of the tour is part of an ongoing farewell saga for both bands. Devo first announced their farewell in 2023 and have been gradually expanding their tour schedule, while the B-52’s have been on a similar path since 2022. The bands appear to be competing with Bob Dylan in extending their tours incrementally.
Words from Fred Schneider
B-52’s member Fred Schneider noted in 2025 that the band would still perform in “special situations” that avoid the challenges of extensive touring. Despite announcing their retirement from major tours in 2019, the band has maintained a presence with events like a Vegas residency and numerous shows across North America and Europe.
Fans can purchase tickets through Ticketmaster and StubHub.
